St Marys Episcopal Cathedral Edinburgh
I passed St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral (also referred to as the Cathedral Church of Saint Mary the Virgin) on route to the Modern One (art) museum. It’s an impressively looking architectural building as you approach it on Palmerston Place. It is one of only three cathedrals in the country that feature three spires (the other two being Lichfield (see ruclips.net/video/ICrI9bG11Ik/видео.html) and Truro). This video features the religious artwork within the cathedral.

Without a doubt, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow is one of the must-see art attractions, not only in Scotland but in the UK as a whole. I hate to use the cliche but there is something here for everyone. I know it might be a crazy question but how did they know where to build the trenches
Essentially, in simple terms, they 'dug in' to a defensive position to avoid being out in the open and providing a target out in the open. As time went on these became deeper and all sorts of facilities provided. The Germans develop better trenches on more advantageous pieces of land. Such as on a slope looking down on your enemy. Then they would give up the original trench and move back to this better line of defences. There was an event known as the 'Race to the Sea' (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_to_the_Sea) which led to the development of trenches in northern France and Belgium in late 1914.

From what I recall there are lifts to all floors. Once outside on the main pool area there is a pathway down to the next two levels and the lane which runs along the seafront.
My ancestor Sixtus Oelhafen is buried here, and I hope to go this year. Thank you for the video!

At the very beginning, (around 0:14) The boy and girl statue has also been done in Marble, they're in the National Gallery of Art, In Washington DC. Well worth going to see. I don't know which is the original, and which is a copy.
I understand what you are saying. On my travels I see similar pieces of art by the same artists in numerous museums. I believe that some artist make numerous copies of the same item - for example Rodin's Burghers of Calais, Degas Little Dancer etc. I don't know what in the original in Cambrai but I think the artist made several bronzes of the same scene.
Modern art is not dead. Modern art is an undead waking corpse. Art died when it moved from millenia as a spiritual form. Now it is conceptual.

My Mom met my Dad in Bungay during the war. She and her two sisters worked in a bakery in the center of the town that belonged to her uncle. I believe it’s a magical place because of the many stories she told me about Bungay and growing up there.
